Susan Kilgore, continued

as a child when she made friends with a large cast of four-legged characters. She joined animal welfare in 1989 when she founded
Coppell Humane Society and later co-founded
Feral Friends (now know as Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance) in 1998. Susan has also been in the special events industry for the last twenty years and is currently the Director of Marketing for
Outstanding Productions, Inc. She lives happily (most of the time) with her family of outspoken cats and soon-to-be dog.
She has served on the Board of
Metroplex Animal Coalition for the last five years and chaired their
DFW Spay Day event for the last two.

Bekki Harvey, continued

had a passion for animal rescue and animal welfare her entire life. She and her husband were volunteers with the Collin County Humane Society now the
SPCA of Texas. Bekki, and another CCHS volunteer, co-founded the Petco Cat Adoption program in 1993. The Harvey family has 4 adopted felines and 1 adopted female German Shepard.

Pat Rodriguez, continued

at Southwest Airlines. She has been involved in animal rescue since 2005 when she found a lost puppy in her neighborhood. Since then, her activities in animal rescue have been primarily focused on pet placement and supporting spay/neuter programs. Pat enjoys fostering dogs and has a passion for grooming and pampering new dogs. She has two dogs of her own, Peaches and Belle along with various fosters.

Rebecca Poling, continued

in Richardson and has lived in Dallas the last 25 years. She is the owner of Simply Bookkeeping, a freelance accounting service and recently started Contemporary Cats, an online boutique for pet lovers where sales benefits animal welfare groups. She also writes the Dallas Animal Rescue column for Examiner.com. Rebecca and her husband, Rich, have 3 dogs and a houseful of cats, all rescues!
Rebecca grew up with pets and became an active advocate in 2000. She is currently involved in the following animal-related organizations and causes. Founder and President of
Companions For Life, Marketing & Education Committee Co-Chair of the Dallas Animal Shelter Commission, an advisory board to the City of Dallas Animal Services & Adopt Center, Advisory Board Member for
Paws in the City,
Cat Matchers and
Metroplex Animal Coalition, former Vice President for
Feral Friends. Rebecca is also a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators and is certified in disaster response by both the Humane Society of the United States and United Animal Nations. She worked with Animal Rescue New Orleans and Alley Cat Allies rescuing cats after Hurricane Katrina.
